Meghan Palmer
Meghan joined the firm as an associate in 2023. She previously litigated civil rights cases in federal and state courts at the MacArthur Justice Center in their Supreme Court & Appellate Program, with a particular focus on representing clients who suffer abuse while incarcerated. While in that role, she successfully argued an appeal in the Seventh Circuit on behalf of an individual denied the ability to pray while detained. Before that, Meghan was an associate at Williams & Connolly, where she litigated a variety of high-stakes commercial cases.
Meghan is a graduate of Stanford Law School, where she was named a Kirkland & Ellis Scholar (awarded to the highest performing student in one of six first-year sections) and received the Gerald Gunther and Thelton E. Henderson Prizes for outstanding performance in coursework. While in law school, she served on the Stanford Law Review, was a student attorney in the Stanford Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, litigating certiorari and merits-stage cases at the U.S. Supreme Court, and interned with the Orleans Public Defenders. Following law school, Meghan served as a law clerk for Judge Pamela Harris on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Meghan holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Yale University, where she also played club soccer. She is licensed in the District of Columbia.
