Survivor of 2022 Edmund Burke School shooting files lawsuit against gun companies (WJLA: ABC7)

WLJA: ABC7 | October 3, 2023

An injured survivor from last year's "sniper-style" shooting near Edmund Burke School is filing a lawsuit against several gun and gun accessory companies for $75 million, alleging their marketing and sales efforts helped lead to the mass attack.

In court documents filed in Virginia on Oct. 1, the mother of a then-student at the school issued a lawsuit against 36 parties, alleging that their actions and marketing allowed 23-year-old Raymond Spencer to build a stockpile of weapons and accessories before carrying out the April 22, 2022 shooting.
